A rally to bring toys

For the first time, a rally becomes more than just a competition. Editorial Unit and General Motors have wanted to bring excitement to the children who will spend the holidays in a hospital. To that end, several athletes, models and artists have distributed toys at the Infanta Sofia Hospital and the Hospital Puerta de Hierro.

Hospitals are cold, and more on these dates. Therefore, the first objective has been fulfilled: take the 180 toys donated by Mattel for the little ones.

The idea of the rally came at the possibility of proving that they can save on fuel and hence pollution. Therefore, a small tournament in which they have participated as pilots Rafael Martin Vazquez, Coral Bistuer, Angel Nieto, Ainhoa Urbizu, the singer and Greta Garbo and David Civera.

Thanks to the advice offered by experts from General Motors for the reduction of fuel consumption, have had to make the route mapped out with the least with respect to consumption expenditure approved in each car.

Beatriz Gonzalez (Greta) won an Opel Corsa 1.3 CDTI donated by GM, by reducing the consumption of the Opel Insignia by 12%. David Civera, Ainhoa Arbizu and Rafael Martin Vazquez left in the second, third and fourth place respectively, for making 'NGO' donations PIKOLINOS, Moltex and Carlson Wagonlit Travel.
